It has been a typical month in many ways, with all our usual activities (Reminiscence, Coffee Mornings, Exercise Mornings, Active Games, etc.) On the music front we have had two recent Music Clubs. The Domestics and Janet C chose some interesting selections, 16 people attended and everyone enjoyed their selection. Another musical highlight was Anne Fotheringham entertaining us live at Broomgrove. It was wonderful to see so many of our residents and staff singing along and dancing.
A lot of residents are coming down to activities and its so lovely to see them participating in Dominoes, Wildlife Bingo, Jigsaw Puzzles, Brain Games and the Blockbusters quiz. Other activities included Carpet Bowls and an Art Afternoon where we enjoyed leaf printing, creating some really attractive patterns.
Sharon, the hairdresser, has had a well-deserved break, she has been missed by her regulars and everybody was happy to see her return.
Monthly events included the Church Service from St Marks, Yoga, a visit from the Nursery Children and, the ever popular, Pat Dog Maggie-Mae.
Jack had his 90th Birthday and celebrated with cards and balloons, surrounded by family and friends.
It might seem a little early to mention Christmas, but the kitchen needs to plan well ahead. Anita, and the residents, had a very productive food discussion and have decided on the menus for the Festive Season.
