We’ve had another great week in Activities. The main celebration was St David’s Day. We decorated the lounges and dining room and had a Coffee Morning on the day. There were Welsh cakes, and Norman’s son and daughter-in-law were our guests. They kindly brought daffodils for the ladies and Jon played the guitar and sang Welsh hymns and folk songs both in Welsh and English. He also played the piano.
It was a lovely morning, which everybody really enjoyed. The Welsh theme continued in Poetry Club, with poems by Welsh poets.
On Saturday we showed The 2 Ronnies, which was entertaining. Apart from our usual activities we also put on Scrabble.
Congratulations to Bernie who celebrated her 80th birthday with friends and family visiting her at Broomgrove for cake and refreshments.
